This route has spaces where you can taste incredible wines and find unique landscapes.
Itinerary
1
You will be picked up from your hotel or Airbnb in Ensenada, Valle de Guadalupe between 9:45 AM and 10:00 AM. During this 6-hour excursion you will be transferred to the Santo Tomas de Aquino Valley on the Old Wine Route.
2
Travel along Baja California's oldest wine route, located an hour south of the Ensenada.
3
Our first stop (1 hour) will be at Bodegas de Santo Tomas, you will have the opportunity to taste the labels Mexican lines (included in the price) and learn more about the first wine producers in the region. Santo Tomas founded in 1888 is the Baja California’s oldest internationally known vineyard for its excellent wines. The area where they produce the wine is a round building in the middle of the vineyards, designed by Alejandro D'Acosta.
4
Afterwards, we will visit the Aldo Cesar Palafox Vineyards, which is both the heir to the oldest winemaking tradition in the region and an example of the most recent innovations in winemaking technology. You will be able to taste labels from the Basic line (included in the price) by winemaker Lourdes Martínez Ojeda, internationally renowned for her excellent boutique wines.
5
You will be taken back to your hotel around 5:00 p.m. You will have bottled water and snacks during the tour.
